This material allows the child to work on short and long multiplication problems of whole and decimal numbers. The Decimal Checkerboard is made up of 49 squares colored in the hierarchical colors of green, blue, and red for the whole numbers and light green, light blue, and pink for the decimal numbers. The diagonal squares represent the hierarchies from millions to millionths and differentiate decimals from whole numbers.
This math mat measures about 55×55 cm (21,5×21,5 inch). It is digitally printed on 100% cotton, and therefore there are no seams. The border is finished with overlock. This 100% cotton mat is soft, sturdy and easily fold up for storage, and it is machine washable (30ºC).
It is perfect to use in the classroom or homeschool.

Colours are accurate, numbers are crisp, and the fabric weight is exactly what I was hoping for. The checkerboard is printed on a lightweight canvas, with serged edges. I was expecting that I might want to back it with something, but it will be great as is. Sturdy enough to stand up to our home use, but light enough to fold or roll up small on our shelves.

Nice quality for a good price. As a Montessori educator turned homeschooling parent, I was hoping to get a good quality product that is also easier to store than the actual boards (e.g. Checkerboard) I have already.
